Copycat logos

Last week there was an interesting article in the Washington Post about logo trademarks and copyrights when it comes to high school and college mascots.  There are of course differences of option on this matter.  But it made me think about my high school days and our mascot, the Colonel:

Of course Ole Miss is currently narrowing its search for a new mascot, 

so if it is an issue now, it likely won't be for long.
